Week 115 ~ Make a Gift

Guest Designer

Get to know Shahrul.....

Hi, my name is Shahrul Niza. I live in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. When I first started scrapbooking a few years back, my passion was making mini albums. And now my art has evolved into mixed-media, collage, water color painting, art journaling and recycle/upcycle/altered art. My latest craze is alterations!. I seemed not to be able to stop altering things :)). I love to incorporate different art techniques and use found objects or flea market finds into my mini albums. I hope my altered necklace project will inspire you to turn old things into something useful and beautiful. Looking forward to see many great creations from everyone.

Hi All!  It is Cheryl here as hostess this week for CCCB.  I hope you have TIME to play along with our challenge this week.  Our challenge is all about TIME.  With a birthday and a 30 year anniversary approaching and children that refuse to stop getting older...I have been thinking a lot about TIME lately.  So our theme this week is Time After Time and your challenge is to use a CLOCK somewhere on your project.   I hope you have a GOOD TIME playing along!

Guest Designer

Get to know Ira......

Hi girls! My name is Ira Huberts. I’m a working girl who has her own wholesale company (Trachtenmode) together with
my wonderful husband, Jan. We’ve been together for 25 years and he’s my best friend.
I am delighted to design for My Crafty Heart in the UK and to be this week’s guest designer for City Crafter
where the girls are all so very talented, such an honour to be with you this week. Thanks for having me!
I was introduced to paper crafting a century ago when I was still a child; over the years I’ve
ventured into lots of different craft hobbies (knitting, embroidery, paper crafting). I don’t think
I have a specific style, I’m pretty eclectic in my tastes, always love to create something different.
Although my preferences lie with vintage and I love to alter things. Fabulous papers can really make
me happy, not just scrapbooking papers, stationary and beautiful envelopes, too! Other than scrapbooking
I enjoy reading, cooking, gardening and teasing my DH J

Get to know Michelle.....

Hello everyone! It's such a pleasure to be here at City Crafter Challenge Blog!!! I'm Michelle, wife of 12 years to my awesome husband Chris, mom to 3 super kids, Emma, Natalie and Christopher,  and lover of all crafts!!! I've been crafting since I was little, because of my mom, who loves to craft! I started my first blog post in October of 2010 and have loved every second of it! Cards are my favorite but I am beginning to love creating home decor and gifts. There is nothing better than reading comments from wonderful people like you, who too, have a passion for crafting!! Thank you, Kirsty!

City Crafter Challenge Blog week #112 ~ Coppelia

Happy Tuesday crafters! This is Kirsty back here with this week challenge.
When I lived in Manhattan, my apartment was on West 57th street, it was just a few blocks away from Lincoln Center, where there stood The Metropolitan Opera House, Avery Fisher Hall and The New York City Ballet, I spent lots of time there. One of my favorite ballet is Coppélia, the story of Die Puppe (The Doll) and was premiered in May 1870. I bet everyone loves Ballerina, so I thought we should include a Ballerina on your project for this week's challenge, let's get started!!!!!

~ Kirsty Vittetoe

Week 112 ~ Coppélia

Guest Designer

Get to know Tammy......

It is an honor to be a guest designer for The City Crafter Challenge Blog this week. It's one of my favorite places to spend some crafty time.  I am an Army wife,  and a Mom to one bossy little guy! Being a military family, I have had the privilege to live in several different places to include Hawaii for 9 years. That is where my blog title got it's start. We currently reside  in Northern Virginia.

My love for paper-crafting began a few years ago when I received a handmade Christmas card from a friend.   A few months later I was invited to a stamp party, and the rest is history!  There is nothing like the personal touch of a handmade card, and I haven’t sent a store bought card to anyone in years!
If I had to sum up my card making style in a word, it would be eclectic.  My creative spirit can be influenced by everything from my mood that day, to something that I experience or an image that I see. Since my style is mixed, you will get a variety if you pop by my blog! J

I truly feel lucky to have found such a wonderful creative outlet.  I love everything about paper-crafting, and when it comes to ‘me’ time, I can’t think of anything better!

My creations can be found at Creating Somewhere Under The Sun
